Rhys brings over 30 years experience working at the intersection of economic opportunity and breakthrough sustainability. He founded the Center for Sustainable Infrastructure (CSI) in 2014 and continues to serve as its Executive Director. He also co-founded and helped lead for 15 years the nonprofit organization Climate Solutions (1998—2013). At CSI, Rhys has guided over 200 Northwest public and private leaders on study tours in Denmark to see IS in action, and has worked arm in arm with them to catalyze local IS initiatives throughout Washington and Oregon and to pass groundbreaking legislation in both states.
